Over the years, Electric Care has expanded its expertise in electrical engineering, temperature control systems, HVAC automation, and Building Management Systems (BMS), successfully delivering complex projects for some of South Africa’s most recognised businesses and developments.

Electric Care was founded and established by Johnny Lee, whose passion for engineering and technical excellence has been the driving force behind the company's success.
Johnny completed his apprenticeship through the Johannesburg City Council in 1979, achieving distinctions across all subjects and earning the prestigious Craft Shield Award as Apprentice of the Year.
In the same year, he obtained his Wireman's Licence, laying the foundation for a distinguished career in the electrical and HVAC industries.
Committed to continuous learning and professional development, Johnny furthered his expertise through advanced training with the South African Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (SAIRAC), where he completed comprehensive studies covering all aspects of air-conditioning systems and was awarded a Certificate of Diligence in recognition of his outstanding performance.
More than 35 years later, Johnny's passion for innovation, quality, and technical excellence continues to influence every project undertaken by Electric Care. His commitment to delivering reliable, efficient, and future-focused solutions remains deeply embedded in the company's culture and approach to service delivery.

Lynn joined Electric Care in 2008 and serves as Managing Director, providing strategic leadership and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business.
With extensive experience in managing people, processes, and service delivery, she is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the company operate efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with Electric Care’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Lynn oversees operational planning, resource management, staff leadership, client relationships, and business performance, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards while maintaining a strong focus on growth, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Her hands-on leadership style, industry knowledge, and dedication to excellence have been instrumental in the ongoing success and reputation of Electric Care.
Debbie - Head of HR, Payroll & Accounts
Debbie joined Electric Care in 2010, bringing with her a strong administrative background, having completed a Secretarial qualification in 1999 and gained valuable experience in both the security and corporate property sectors.
As Head of HR, Payroll & Accounts, Debbie plays a vital role in supporting the company’s people, financial, and administrative functions. She oversees human resources administration, payroll management, creditor and debtor accounts, and ensures that internal processes are maintained accurately and efficiently. Working closely with the leadership team, she helps manage employee administration, financial controls, and day-to-day office operations, contributing to a well-organised and productive working environment.
Her attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to operational excellence make her an integral part of the Electric Care team.
